Abstract

One of the most challenging elements of a chair’s job is the handling of student complaints. In this workshop, we will identify patterns in student complaints as well as suggestions for proactive strategies that chairs and faculty members can use to prevent them.

    Participants will identify patterns related to student expectations and satisfaction with faculty.

    Participants will learn proactive strategies to prevent complaints, to prevent complalnts from escalating to higher levels and to best intercede at particular points in the process.
