Abstract
A 2012 survey of faculty in academic medicine collected information about their perceptions of climate and support for the use of flexible career policies and programs. The data were analyzed by gender, parental status, and having been a department chair. Recommendations for administrators in schools of medicine will be discussed.

Participants will be able to identify commonly requested career flexibility policies in schools of medicine.
Participants will learn what differences in the usage or avoidance of these requested policies as they exist by gender, parental status, and being/have been a department chair in schools of medicine.
Participants will learn what differences exist in perceptions of impact of career in utilization of these requested policies
Participants will learn what leading medical schools are doing in terms of practices and policies to correct for these differences
Participants will engage each other in discussion of these leading practices and policies
