Abstract

Perhaps the least visible and understood experience in the academy is that of immigrant women scholars. This absence is connected to issues of power, privilege, discourse, and practices that silence nonwestern voices within the increasingly globalized world. The paper explores the ambiguities and challenges the transnational female scholar faces in US higher education.
